I agree that showing *nothing* is unnecessarily confusing. The original goal was to show the whole world as the initial view. Then the user could pan and zoom, or search for what they want. Even without road data for the whole world, Roadster could ship with vector outlines of countries/states. I imagine a user preference much like Firefox has for the start page: - a "home" location - last-viewed location - whole world |
