Description Timo Hoenig 2008-04-11 10:19:21 UTC
D-Bus 1.2.1 crashes.

I didn't find the time to get details (e.g. verbose output of the daemon). Will attach a backtrace as a start.

Comment 2 Timo Hoenig 2008-04-11 10:22:51 UTC
Not very reliable but it seems to trigger the crash:

- run NetworkManager
- run nm-applet
- run nm-info

(using NetworkManager-0.7.0.r3453, NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0.r593)
Comment 3 John (J5) Palmieri 2008-04-11 12:31:43 UTC
And this doesn't happen with an older version? I'm wondering if it is one of the patches or a newer NM just triggers a latent bug. Would be good to get the message that triggers this. Any other detail you provide would be great.

I'm cc'ing dcbw to see if they see this issue in rawhide.
Comment 4 John (J5) Palmieri 2008-04-14 07:39:24 UTC
Is this the bus or the application?
Comment 5 Timo Hoenig 2008-04-14 08:59:34 UTC
It's the bus.

Today I set up a second system to reproduce but wasn't able to do so (I still can reproduce it on my workstation). I'll provide details whenever I make progress on investigating this.

Did you reboot after you upgraded?
Comment 7 Timo Hoenig 2008-04-14 09:40:54 UTC
Yes.
Comment 8 Timo Hoenig 2008-05-07 06:06:26 UTC
I can't reproduce this any longer :-( Closing as INVALID.
