Description Kevin DeKorte 2008-04-14 12:16:09 UTC
Grab git/master of drm,mesa,xserver and xf86-drv-intel

start glxgears from a terminal, leave running for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. X will hard lock

retest with Option "Tiling" "False", machine will not hard lock.
Comment 1 Kevin DeKorte 2008-04-14 12:17:53 UTC
Using xf86-drv-intel intel-batchbuffer branch with Option "DRI2" "True" does not have this problem with Tiling "True"

Comment 2 Gordon Jin 2008-04-15 02:31:11 UTC
I can't reproduce this. Could you bisect?
Comment 3 Kevin DeKorte 2008-04-15 05:41:06 UTC
Nothing to bisect as the lock up occurs on all versions of the code that run on this machine. When tiling is enabled with DRI1
Comment 4 Gordon Jin 2008-04-15 05:53:24 UTC
This sounds odd as glxgears is so common a tool but no other people are complaining about this with git/master. Is this your first time running glxgears on this machine?

Please attach xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log.
Comment 5 Kevin DeKorte 2008-04-15 06:05:44 UTC
I upgraded my machines BIOS to 0504 (Asus board) and also grabbed git master of mesa and intel drivers and I cannot duplicate this issue now.
