Description John Horne 2005-03-15 03:42:47 UTC
Using an LTSP 4.1 server running Fedora Core 3 (FC3) the ltspcfg program
modifies /etc/hosts.allow to cater for portmap, in.tftpd etc - e.g.:

==================================================================
## LTSP-begin ##
#
# The lines between 'LTSP-begin' and 'LTSP-end' were added
# on: Wed Feb 23 10:27:28 2005, by the ltspcfg configuration tool.
# For more information, visit the LTSP homepage
# at http://www.LTSP.org
#

bootpd:     0.0.0.0
in.tftpd:   192.168.60.
portmap:    192.168.60.

## LTSP-end ##
=============================================================

However, clients cannot mount the root partition unless 'mountd' is also
specified - e.g.:

    mountd: 192.168.60.

Wow! This bug was reported 8 years ago exactly :-)

I have no idea about the bug since we stopped using LTSP several years ago. Sorry.
