Description Adam Jackson 2005-10-13 11:26:44 UTC
xf4bpp is a nasty combination of 4bpp screen support in 8bpp pixmaps, along with
a basic vga driver (direct I/O pokes, etc). fortunately it's not very widely
used (apm, chips, cirrus, mach64, trident, tseng, vesa, and vga). one of two
strategies should be taken:

- just drop 4bpp support
- convert it to internally use fb instead of mfb/cfb, factor out the vga access
bits to vgahw or somewhere else that's more appropriate

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.

xf4bpp is just gone now.
